Download tutorial
In order to try out software, you have to download it. Downloading is the
process of copying a file from a web site (like this) to your own
computer. When the file has been copied onto your computer, you are able to
install and use the software.
Here's how to download software:
The exact look of the windows in this tutorial may vary depending
on your browser and Windows version, but the basic steps remain the same.
1.
To start the download process, click a download link or button on the web site.
2.
2.
Your web browser may ask you if you want to save the file or run it from its current location:
If you see this question, it's best to choose "Save", so you won't have to download the file
again if something goes wrong. If you don't see this question, don't worry - it will probably
automatically be saved for you.
3.
You will then be asked to select the folder where you want to save the file, using a standard
"Save As" window. The default location is probably okay, so all you have to do is simply click
the "Save" button.
4.
The download will now begin. Your web browser will keep you updated on the progress of the
download by showing a progress bar that fills up as you download.
Note: You may also see a check box like this one:
If you see this check box, it helps to uncheck this box. You don't
have to, but if you do, it will be easier to find the file after you download it.
5.
Depending on which file you're downloading and how fast your connection is, it may take anywhere
from a few seconds to a few minutes to download.
When your download is finished you'll probably see a "Download complete" window with an
"Open" button like this one:
Now click the "Open" button to run the file you just downloaded and start the Rummi
installation.
If you don't see this "Download complete" window with an "Open" button, go to "My Computer", find
the folder where you saved the file and double-click on the file there.
6.
Unfortunately, some programs that you can download from other web sites are dangerous for
your computer. Therefore, you're likely to see a warning like this one:
If you download Rummi from this site it's guaranteed to be safe, so you can safely click "Run".
7.
The installation process will begin. Follow the on-screen instructions from there to install
the program to your computer and to learn how to run the program after it's installed.
Happy downloading!
