Local game server
Only for owners of a home network without a permanent internet connection
Playing Rummi online makes use of a central game server, therefore you need internet access to play
online games. This is also
true if you play a game on two computers connected in a home network. If your network has no permanent
internet connection, that means that you have to establish a (possibly expensive) internet connection
before you can play a game of Rummi locally. Running a local game server will overcome this problem.
With the optional
RummiServer piece of software, you can run your own local Rummi server on your
home network. That way you are able to play Rummi over your network without having to keep an active
internet connection.
This add-on will only work with the full version of Rummi.
