Online terms
The Rummi online playing facility and the Rummi competition are designed to have fun.
In order to ensure that it remains fun for everyone, there are a few basic rules to follow.
Terms for playing in online games of Rummi
- By starting to play online you accept these terms.
- You may not use the online playing service for any other purpose than to play Rummi.
- Players may use the chat feature for no other purpose than to exchange short textual messages
during, or immediately before or after a game.
- When using the chat feature, players may not use strong or otherwise offensive language,
send commercial messages, or send extremely lengthy portions of text.
- Players must refrain from any behavior that is annoying to other players.
- Players who do not comply with these terms may be permanently denied access to online games without
prior notice.
- The operator of the online playing service is not responsible for the behaveour of other players.
- The online playing service is offered as a free service to registered owners of the Rummi software
(it is considered to be free because you don't have to pay a recurring subscription fee).
The operator of the service will do his best effort to keep the service running, but no warranty is given.
- These terms may be changed at any time without notice.
General terms for Rummi competition membership
- Membership of a competition is free for registered users of Rummi.
- Ranking of competition members is assigned according to rules explained elsewhere on this site. These
ranking rules may be subject of change without notice.
- A competition may have additional rules or terms that you must agree upon before you can join.
- The rules and additional terms of a competition may be changed by its owner without prior notice.
- A player who doesn't comply with the Rummi online playing terms, with these general competition terms,
or with the individual terms for a particular competition, or is strongly suspected of not complying,
may be immediately and permanently removed from that competition by the competition owner without
prior notice, at the sole discretion of the competition owner.
- Membership of a competition ends automatically after one year of inactivity.
- Any competition may be discontinued without prior notice. In that case, no restitution or
other compensation is given to its members.
- Competition scores will never be modified other than by the automated scoring system.
This also excludes any manual correction of faulty scores due to an error in the automated system.
- Membership of a competition ends automatically after two months of inactivity.
- Comptitions without members other than the owner will be deleted automatically after one month.
- These terms may be changed at any time without notice.
